Easy Biscuit Bread with Pesto - 4 Ingredients

  • 1 can of store-bought biscuits
  • 1/2 cup of pesto sauce (make this easy Walnut Pesto or you can use store bought too)
  • 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts (optional as topping and addition crunch and flavor)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to the temperature specified on the biscuit can.
  2. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper and set aside. (if you are wondering how to do this, here is a quick and easy video.)
  3. Open the can of biscuits and separate them.
  4. Take three* biscuits and flatten it with your hands or a rolling pin until it is about 1/4 inch thick and place them in the loaf pan.
  5. Spread about a third of the pesto mixture and half of the grated parmesan cheese onto the flattened biscuit, leaving a small border around the edges.
  6. Repeat Step 4 and top the biscuits with another third of pesto mixture and grated parmesan cheese.
  7. Repeat Step 4 with the final layer of biscuits.
  8. If using walnuts, evenly sprinkle them top of the biscuits.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes. Keep an eye on the bread. It should be golden brown on the top and sides and baked through in the middle.
  10. Remove from the oven and let the pesto bread cool for a few minutes before serving.

*NOTE: The number of biscuits in a can depend on the brand and size of biscuits you are using. Most cans come with 5-10 biscuits per can. Ours came with 8 jumbo biscuits and we sliced one in half to make three layers.
