SAVORY PUMPKIN HUMMUS DIP
If you are like me, you love hummus. Any flavor, and there are so many flavor options for hummus. Fall just boasts of apples and pumpkin. It's the Fall harvest. So naturally, they are in abundance right now. We just had to satisfy our pumpkin spice craving and made this easy pumpkin hummus recipe.
Try this easy and tasty pumpkin hummus. The toasted sunflower and pumpkin seeds really add a nutty, crunch to every bite. Hummus can be served with anything, bread, chips, pretzels, vegetables. Essentially, it is a dip so no rules. I toasted up nutty, seeded wholegrain bread and it was a perfect pairing for this savory, zesty hummus. Try my blistered shishito pepper hummus too.
Adding Toppings
I always like to add toppings to any hummus recipe that I create. Sometimes, the hummus itself is simple and classic but once you add certain flavors with the topping it takes on that flavor profile. This recipe is different in that the pumpkin flavor is incorporated in the hummus itself. The toppings are additions that further compliments each bite. For this recipe, toasted sunflower and pumpkin seeds added that extra layer of nutty flavor with a bit of crunch.
