Mexican Mule Cocktail is a variation of the Moscow Mule. This tequila-based version even surpasses the original. The fusion of the tequila's bite with the spicy ginger and zesty lime creates a flavor that practically begs for another sip.
The Mexican Mule replaces the vodka which is commonly found in the Moscow Mule with tequila, thus creating a spicy, sour, and delightful flavor. Simply fill up copper mugs with ice, add tequila, lime juice, ginger beer, and stir for a perfect five-star drink, ideal for enjoying on a warm day.
It's crucial to remember to use ginger beer instead of ginger ale. And, to give it an extra touch of flavor, don't forget to garnish with a lime wedge.
Mexican Mule Cocktail Ingredients
Tequila - we recommend silver tequila, however you can use mezcal for a layer of smoky flavor.
Fresh lime juice - use freshly squeezed for a vibrant refreshing flavor.
Ginger beer - use ginger beer not ginger ale. (If you do not have ginger beer, ginger ale can be used, but please note that the taste and the alcohol content will be different)
Lime slice - for garnish
